Ever since Daniel Craig made those infamous comments – “I’d rather slash my wrists than play James Bond again” – people have been speculating over who could replace him as 007.Actor Roger Moore, who once played the spy, has since revealed who he wants to play the next incarnation of the character.

“I do think [Poldark actor] Aidan Turner looks very good,” he told TalkRadio, according to the Huffington Post. Moore also said Tom Hiddleston would be a good choice, praising The Night Manager actor’s work with UNICEF, a charity both stars have championed.

Moore also revealed who he wouldn’t want playing Bond, saying it could never be a female: “You could have a female, a Jane Bond, but it would have nothing to do with James Bond. No, Bond is Bond.”

Earlier this year, Gillian Anderson put her name forward to be the next Bond, while the likes of Idris Elba, Jamie Bell, and Charlie Hunnam are thought to be Sony’s favourites if Craig leaves the series.
